To my dear friend, partner, confidant Titus, how will I miss you? I will miss the stories you told me of Okeigbo, the music we played together, the laughter we shared and all the difficulties we faced together. I was omolo Allum oriobo oriobo which you said to me every day. I bless the day you came into my life long ago in 1969. I wish you a peaceful everlasting life. Lots of love from Dr Ann.

It is with profound sadness, yet with deep gratitude for a life well-lived, that I pay tribute to my beloved uncle, Dr. Titus Katie Fasawe.

Dr. Fasawe was a man of exceptional character — loving, kind, and unwavering in his commitment to family and community. During my school breaks in the 1970s, I was privileged to spend time with him, and those cherished visits remain among my fondest memories. His home radiated warmth, discipline, and compassion — values he embodied every single day.

He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a firm yet fair disciplinarian who believed in the power of love, unity, and togetherness. He consistently reminded us of the importance of family ties and of never losing sight of our roots and shared heritage.

Our monthly FaceTime conversations were moments I deeply treasured. We would reflect on our family’s history, tracing our lineage back to Egypt, and through his words, I came to appreciate the depth and richness of our family story. Those conversations were not only informative but deeply inspiring — a testament to his wisdom, intellect, and enduring love for family.

Uncle Titus will be profoundly missed. His kindness, guidance, and legacy of unity will forever remain in our hearts. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will continue to shine as a beacon of love, strength, and integrity.

May his noble soul rest in perfect and eternal peace.
